Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to maintain costume continuity for productions in the screen, media and entertainment industries.It applies to individuals responsible for checking the appearance of performers' costumes is consistent from one take to the next on film shoots, or between scenes requiring costume changes in live theatre productions. On film shoots, they facilitate the post-production process by tracking details of each shooting session, as many scenes are shot out of sequence. They work closely with continuity or script supervisors. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. Assessment must be conducted in a safe environment where evidence gathered demonstrates consistent performance of typical activities experienced in creative arts industry environments. The assessment environment must include access to: productions requiring a range of costume changes basic costume repair kit costumes and costume accessories. Assessors of this unit must satisfy the requirements for assessors in applicable vocational educational and training legislation, frameworks and/or standards. |
